The conference was held on November 7th, 2008, at Sabanci University Performance Center, Istanbul, with around 300 participants. The aim of the conference was:

• To provide participants the opportunity to hear about the successful solutions and lessons learned during Six Sigma applications, directly from the leaders who applied them,
• To learn how Six Sigma developed and changed in the world, and what will be the possible future developments,
• To see that Lean Six Sigma is not only applicable in the production stage, but also it is applicable in the fields such as sales, marketing, health, finance etc.,
• To give an opportunity to institutions, that applies and/or plans to apply Six Sigma, to review and evaluate their plans.

Lean Six Sigma Conference – 2, started with the speeches of Akin POLAT, who is the General Manager of S.P.A.C. Consultancy Company that organized the conference, and R. Murat YILMAZ, who is the Corporate Affairs Director of Sabanci Holding.
