The conference that was the first international event in Turkey with the theme Lean Six Sigma was held on November 3rd, 2006, at Sabanci Center Congress Center (Sabanci Towers), Istanbul.

The aim of the conference was to assemble the institutions that implement or plan to implement Six Sigma into their organizations, to evaluate the position Six Sigma reached in Turkey, and to create perspectives about the future of the methodology.

In this frame, Lean Six Sigma that is known to have some efficient tools especially for the service processes and that is frequently pronounced worldwide in the agenda of quality circles was discussed, and some presentations to inform the participants about the methodology were made. Both local and foreign speakers, talked about their approaches and experiences in the fields of Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management and Innovation.
